The Norrish Central Library, Portsmouth, Hants, UK.

I had no idea this impressive building looked like this at the back! Not much of Portsmouth’s brutalist architecture remains now (think Tricorn Centre), but this building stands proudly and is in full use to this day. Named after its designer, city architect Ken Norrish, it was completed in 1976. The inside is a little dated in decor, but is well stocked with books, a Portsmouth history centre, including books by local authors, various regular exhibits and communal space. I hope fans of this type of architecture love it as much as I do.

Photo taken by me on my Honor 6A phone, 22/3/2019. Weather was suitably grey and drizzly, adding to the brutal look!
