RED MORGUE HOSPITAL

This hospital was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by a number of liberals with tentacles reaching far into the social fabric. Around 50 investors brought the initial capital together to build and equip this rather small hospital. At that time, the nursing care was still deeply rooted in the clergy and they wanted to disconnect from it. In the beginning the hospital had mainly surgical activities and there was also a maternity ward. Later, an outpatient clinic was also established. More than 90 years after the birth, the hospital merged with another, larger hospital, which meant looking for a new and spacious location. The last years before the closure, work was mainly done around the outpatient clinic, the day clinic and the palliative care department. Since five years, the last remaining activities have also moved to the new site …
