modernism-in-metroland:

Type 9F house, Chandigarh, India (1954) by Maxwell Fry & Jane Drew

Fry and Drew later joined the design team overseeing the building of Chandigarh, a planned city in Northern India, created after its independence from Britain. The masterplan for the city was created by Le Corbusier, who Fry and Drew had persuaded to be part of the project. Fry and Drew spent 3 years in India as part of the scheme, designing many building such as the Type 9F housing shown here.
